Kish II, Ernest Stephen Thousand Oaks 47
It wasnt enough for Ernest Stephen Kish, II just to be a member of his church. Kish, who everyone knew as Pete, served as a church elder, Sunday school teacher, youth leader and treasurer. "He was very involved (in the church)," said Victoria Leming, who works in the offices of Conejo valley Community Church, where Kish, 47, was a member. If you knew him you knew that his faith went with him everywhere. You knew he was a strong follower of God. An accounting manager for Senior Aerospace in Burbank, Kish and his wife Janice lived in Thousand Oaks with their children Alex Stephen Kish and Lori Marie, 10. Known by his kindness, Kish himself had experienced tragedy as a boy, his brother in-law Kit Lloyd said. When he was 8 years old his parents were killed in an accident and his sister Jaina and her husband George Bolin raised him, Lloyd said. It may have been what gave him such an deep dedication to his family and faith, friends added. "There was not a better man," said Leming. Not someone more devoted to God and his family. Private services for friends and family are scheduled 1 p.m. Friday at Conejo Valley Community Church 750 Erbes Road in Thousand Oaks. 805-381-0484.
